  1. Yes, I can't argue with that. When I got my black & gold 900SS in 1978 I thought the Speedline magnesium wheels were the bee's knees. I wasn't so enamoured with them a few years later when the rear one cracked. You'll have noticed how massively heavy the wire wheels on your Scrambler are.

  2. Sure are, around 2kg heavier than the cast ones,(per wheel), good job I’m not entering any races on it :)

  3. No, I sold it in 1984 but it was sold just a few months ago for £40K.

  4. We all did silly things back in our salad days.

  6. I sold it for £1500. Bought it new for £1129 OTR in 75, sold it in 84.

  7. Scan-130204-0015.jpeg I bought this in November 1989 new, had it to 1993.
I bought this 2004 model ST3 for two years ago. I maybe buy me a new one if we can travel this year.

After that, traded in for my evo. Still got the evo, still love it, can't see me ever parting with it. Bought new in 2012..

Decided to run two for different purposes. Bought an hyper 796 to run alongside my monster. Had it a two or three years, did Italy n manx plus other trips. Good bike, comfy, frugal, not the most exciting...

The 796 got chopped in for an hyper 939, massive fun bike. 939 done France, Italy and numerous TT's / classic TT's. Still got it, still laugh riding it....
