Well we both lived to tell the tale. I was always letting more sprited couriers overtake me,knowing that quite a few of them I would overtake as they had been knocked off by a car coming out of a left hand turn somewhere in between the traffic.i ran a GS850 a VT500 an XJ900 and sometimes a Honda 250 single with kick start only.the VT spent a lot of time on its rear wheel out of working hours,did track days with the GS,much to my friends amusement,but they could not overtake me on track as the bike weaves so wildly they were shit scared to make a pass,lol,The XJ I bought new,first job was Portsmouth and it was redline in top all the way.Ah those were the days....but I digress...I now use 15-50 fully synthetic silkolene or rock oil.
