The Morning After

  1. Ha ha, from the early 90's i think.

  2. They were, I remember buying a sapphire with a set on, first things to go.

  3. They used to be the preserve of Suzuki Vitaras and Escort Cabriolets. It's the reason I can never own a 916 however solid an investment blah blah they are.

  4. Lol, they look better than the Crow's feet latest versions though.

  5. Totally agree. The latest versions look like 3 spokes got bummed by TSW Venoms.

  6. Confession: despite using TSW Venoms as the reference point for all things awful for the last 20 years (example- wife: 'you left the oven on again' me: 'yeah? Well, your face is like TSW Venoms') a quick google search for that picture brought up more cars fitted with them that I liked than I didn't like.

I'm honestly not sure who I am anymore.

  7. Disappointing news for me today, the UK allocation of 78 V4SPs (2 per dealer) has sold out. It's going to be the best part of 2 weeks before they find out if there is any chance that number is going to be increased. Also seems that there are more people happy to put a deposit down on the basic V4 and V4S than there are bikes in the initial manufacturing schedule. Looks like the people who decided to wait before making a decision have planty of time to make their mind up. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Andy

  8. Wouldn't worry. Just like they have every other time, they'll 'magic' a few hundred from nowhere. Its called 'the nintendo affect'

  9. I do wonder how the allocations are decided. We keep on hearing that dealers can't shift 1000cc + sports bike and how the world market is changing but some UK dealers are clearly seeing interest levels far higher than predicted. Andy

  10. In my experience, 'Limited Edition' usually means limited to how many they can sell.

I did some work at a famous manufacturer of supercars last year, who had recently sold a very limited number of £1,000,000 ultra exclusive, individually numbered cars. One of the guys in the workshop told me he'd seen the same 'number' on three different cars.

  11. Andy,
Some of the people that put deposits down and are given an sp may decide not to take delivery. I have a deposit but it refundable prior to the bike getting to the dealer, anything can happen between now and whenever they actually show up. Best of luck. Declan

  12. they'll also be a lot of speculators after the Sp version looking to flip it for a profit potentially
