I used Autosol on a piece of towel to start, then used cotton cloth. After that I finished with cape cod polishing cloths. Where are you based?, if your not far I'll happily do yours if you want to pop over. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The race and comfort are exactly the same height when you're not sat on the bike. The only difference being the comfort is softer, so you sink into it more when you sit on the bike (the race one is pretty solid, so you sit on top of it).
There is a difference between my race seat and a pals seat. I know what I HAVE seen them. So stop trying to teach your Grand mother to suck eggs!!
With that attitude I can make sure we all leave you alone. Chill out or accept the consequences. Pal!
I have had both the race and comfort side by side. They are the same height. This is possible, although unlikely (ducati tend to make something like this and sell it for as long as it fits their models). What may be more likely is that the comfort seat is older and the softer foam has given up a bit and has now squashed down. I noticed that even after 1,500 or so miles that my comfort seat seemed to have squashed a bit, whereas with similar miles the race seat looks just like it did the day I put it on.
Agree. It does the job of reducing the slippage, but it ain't comfortable. Ok for 100 miles, but not for all day then repeat for a week.
Stomp grip is indispensable on all Panigales, most of the seat issues people have would be non-issues if they were using stomp grip. That said I definitely prefer the race seat by a long way.
Just had a look at their website. What exactly did you get from them? The street bike traction pack? I am fine in jeans or textiles but I slide around like a devil in leathers. I have the race seat BTW.
California Superbike School are the importers for stomp grip. There's only one type I've seen from them which is the Volcano one I believe. If you call them they'll pass you across to the warehouse and you can just ask for a clear stomp grip set and a middle section pad for the Panigale and you'll get the right thing. IMO it's way better than any other type of tank grip. As long as you put it on well it doesn't peel off and it's hardly noticeable that it's even there. All my bikes have it in my pictures.
Will be doing 3000 miles in 11 days this July, doing Picos, Pyranees, then on to the French Alps... I think I will suffer
I'd like to know what causes that sort of wear. Is this caused by say perhaps the wrong sag set on the suspension or if the sag is correct is that what they call a hot tear, i.e. too much tyre pressure?
I'd be saying cold tear, they are set to standard road pressures which where probably a bit much for today's ride.
Ahh okay. Think I need to read up on this and try and get a better understanding of the whole tyre wear phenomenon.
