I thought the 6 inch rim used a 190/50 - am I wrong? As I just measured my rim and found its a 152cm between the rolled edges (not included), so a 6" rim it is then. But then I did used to run at the front of the Inters group on track days with my 180/55's on the 6 inch rim. Confused........ J
Nothing to be confused about. A 190/55 gives a good radius and improves contact patch at lean angles. Higher aspect ratio (55) improves turn in.
Ok, so I'm looking at Pirelli Dragon Rosso Corsa's in 120/70r17 and 190/55r17.... Delivered to my door for £225. Anyone know of a decent tyre fitter in Herts/Beds/Bucks for loose wheels?? I've had 2 sets of Pirelli Supercorsa tyres in the past and liked them, so happy to stick with the Pirellis. I only ride in fair weather (too many broken things complain if its cold or wet - that's me, not the bike) Is this a good price? J
