I bought mine last month, it's 8 months old so quite a bit cheaper than new, that's exactly why I did it. I love the power of the 899 and the way it's delivered, it has The pipes etc on and was £1800 cheaper than new, with the 959 certainly being over £13000 I don't think many will regret it if they got a good deal on the 899. If they went and paid top wack for one then maybe!
Nope... BUT there's been talk of a proper off-road Multistrada (think Paris-Dakar) for a while. I know there's a Scrambler 1200 in development so that may make it this year. I'm thinking that the 955 may come in an S flavour with full-on electronics like the 1299S.
I'm sure I typed it all out before, but maybe my old age is catching up with me ... I doubt the sales figures for the Streetfighter have set the Ducati directors into a frenzy, regardless of how good the bike is. If it's not selling then they just won't make it and will quietly drop it from the range. I can see that it could quite easily get a refresh to the DVT version of the Testastretta 11° that is used in the current Multistrada and Diavel, but those are both 1200 versions and the Streetfighter is only the 848 now anyway and we all know what happened to that! When the Scrambler is outselling the Multistrada at 2:1 and the Multi was Ducati's best selling bike for the last 5 years in a row, you have to ask yourself why bother? Especially with the Monster-R now being in Streetfighter territory!
Yeah you are probably right. From what I heard the SF certainly did not sell that well. I love mine although have only had it a couple of months. Would be nice to get an updated version but quite happy with what I have....
Feels like a cheaper knock off of this: dripping paint, check. random objects, check. fire, check. fist, check. black, check.
