dontcha love a bit of metrosplaining? tell you what tho, Watching the British Establishment close ranks to defend PM’s right to break rules to do a ‘Save the Union’ photo op, I’ve realised where Cummings went wrong. If he’d just driven to Scotland instead of Barnard Castle no one would have batted an eye.
In theory we have members who could run the country, sort out Brexit and run America in their spare time. In reality we have a bunch of Guardian readers.
We have all kinds of people as members. I'm not aware that we have any who were recently sacked for breaking the ministerial code by deliberately misleading the Prime Minister following illegal meetings with foreign governments. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...rnational-development-secretary-a8044166.html https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...isolated-theresa-may-censures-call-uk-aid-go/ I hope the Independent & Telegraph meet with your approval. LOL.
took it off for 10 seconds after being called back for a quick chat with the relitives. (socially distanced)
Anyone can have whatever opinion they like, well actually they can’t if it the wrong opinion these days to some especially on here, but to me anyone can. But if your opinion is that strong get off your arse and actually put yourself in the firing line of criticism. Then and only then does you opinion actually count.
Tbf though, the Guardian and its readership has proved remarkably accurate in their predictions compared to the right wing press and their readers. In fact, it’s quite hard to not get all “Nelson Muntz” about how Trump and Brexit turned out, plus what the G and we said about exactly what sort of a PM BoJo would make given his track record for failure, laziness cynical betrayals and general dishonesty.
just following orders i guess. and besides, he will be one of the few remaining scottish squadies left. we cant afford to lose another one.
I hear you but I would rather he stayed in London and used teams/zooms right now You can’t tell people not to travel then travel yourself I don’t need to see him running anywhere. Right now I don’t have a life not even a nano one apart from my four walls
Scottish Conservatives @ScotTories Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save lives. Don't be hypocrites. i wonder why they didnt post the date of this engagment on this twitter thread.
OK, so Doris (as you call him) already had the virus, and all his party will be subject to multiple tests before they go anywhere. Its really not a big deal in that respect. At least not unless you are anti-government Secondly, his role as P.M. is to get out and reassure the public and workers that the end is in sight and thank them for their work...its what responsible leaders do. That does mean getting off his backside and moving around - essential travel and jobs are already covered and within allowable parameters Thirdly, anyone that is cowering in fear, only has to stay safe and snug inside their own homes while this happens, and then it does not matter if the massed bands of the Coldstream guards and Highland Pipers playing 'I shot the sheriff' wander past the end of the garden... they are unaffected. If wee Krankie practiced what she preaches, she may have grounds to open her hole about who and what, and kept HER ministers in line who have knowingly travelled while infected, (not after having negative tests) she would be OK, but she doesn't. Next ....
I’ll be honest I’m really struggling. But I still believe people in their position, that includes Sturgeon, need to be treated differently and travel to govern is one of those areas.
I get that but just my opinion he felt sad about 100,000 people dying and in the same week goes travelling for the day, while saying hands face space stay at home. I know they run the land but with technology available they don’t need to travel. I know I know ......
Besides the total failure of this government to control this pandemic has to be the responsibility of the PM. The deaths per million are not dramatically different from most of our EU counterparts, but they are astronomical compared to some well funded island nations. I don't want to see vacuous mumbling with historical references. I want to be shown why decisions were made, where the money went, an admission of where things failed (Track Trace for £22billion anyone) and a plan of how decisions will be made in the future to resolve these problems. Swanning around in a plane making PR films doesn't impress me at all.
