Got to be honest, I thought it was funny. Whether it was Nicola Sturgeon that came up with the idea or one of her advisers, I bet she was rolling round on the floor laughing at the idea of saying it. She gets my vote (if I could) just for having a sense of humour.
Where the Hell were all the police in 2019 when my daughter was being harassed or my ex-wife reported an attempted burglary at her house at 130am while she was indoors? All they got was a series of excuses from the shiny-arses, about how it was my daughter’s job, not theirs’, to make house to house enquiries Re: cctv (despite the fact that the perp was probably one of her neighbours) and my ex-wife was told that slipping someone's front door lock and trying to dislodge the security chain isn’t a criminal offence! Have they now solved all the other crime in the U.K. without us being told about it????
We have the worst death rate and one of the worst performing economies and still people try and defend the idiot responsible. Beggars belief really.
Immunity from having had Covid does not mean Doris is no longer able to carry Covid AFAIK. I'd be interested in how you know or why you are sure, that all the party travelling with him are rigorously tested? Prince Charles certainly was not, when he went to Scotland neither was Prince William and it seems they both had Covid. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-54774942 Amassing large groups of bandsmen and drawing crowds regardless of the songs played, hardly seems in keeping with the guidance issued by the government? Next?
ha, 3 weeks ago, the torys demand we publish our plan for the vaccice roll out, how many vaccines are in the country, where are they kept and priority groups. they publish it, the day after they demand its taken back down citing confidentuality rules. then, for the last two weeks, they and the press, all day every day, complain that our gov are falling behind, are being overly secretive and are not using the vaccines they say we have, even tho they are not even in the country. Cummings still in a job is he? well. it seems the sturge has decided that, fug it. we are gonna re publish it. gerrit right up ye trojo.
No doubt they'll be patting each other on the back from a 2M distance, whilst handing big fat cheques for a Sh1te Job supposedly well done. All the Key Government Ministers aren't worth a crock of shit to begin with and alltogether are less use than a Chocolate Fireguard. The word 'Clusterfcuk' springs to mind, each and every one of them.!. That's my 2P'th at least.
Not to be picky. But when we say ‘this is getting stupid’ It was getting stupid around about this time last year . This whole thing has been an absolute shit fest. It’s like the blind leading the blind.
having moved from London to Scotland I can say with absolute certainty that people here are far more disciplined in observing the rules than in London. It is not even close. That is due in part to the quality of Leadership oor Nicola has shown. So when BJ rolls up in contravention of the rules she has no option but to condemn him for not following the rules. It’s that simple. the people making a political point are those saying Nicola is making it political. Her views on his visit are not down to her thinking he is a tit: we all know she thinks that already. They are down to leadership in public health. I don’t mind his visit. All he does is add votes to YES. Today he said it will be 40 years until the next referendum. It will happen when we decide and we won’t wait for BJs approval. Irish Republican Biden will ensure it will all be fine.
You say 'here' vs 'London' and I appreciate you're Scottish so it's perfectly understandable your allegiance would swing that way, however that doesn't mean that wherever 'here' is (Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen etc) would be any better than where I am which is 'not London'. There are 1000's of people who would have broken lock down rules in Scotland, in some city / town, the same as the UK. People are sick of shit across the country. But to think that Nicola made her statement regards Boris travelling out of some higher level of morals and leadership is a bit blinkered. She wants Indi, she wants to be in the news, she wants to make sure she's seen as positive and her opponent Boris is shown negatively. That's politicians, she's no different, it just so happens she's offering something you and many other Scottish people want, independence. Now then, if she was offering independence for Scotland and as a side dish willing to pony up a few grand to take out Boris, a good portion of his cabinet and that other pillock Kier 'hindsight' Starmer then she's got my vote too Where do I sign
again, a fine bit of metrosplaining. you're forgiven.. dude, the figures speak for them selves, covid free by the end of june, and half the infection and mortality rates throughout. https://talkingupscotlandtwo.com/20...ved-but-that-matters-little-to-glen-campbell/ and she wants to be in the news? Geobbels would be proud of the way she has been kept in the news. but it aint working this time. more popular in england than trojo, it seams england is waking up to how the news works since brexit.
I was recently talking to my dear friend who lives Galashiels and although she isn’t a Nicola fan she was saying what a great job she is doing in this present climate
It almost doesn't matter whether she is doing a good job because in politics perception is everything and it seems the perception of Sturgeon is that she's a competent leader and is doing a good job of sticking it to the remote out of touch and corrupt Eton and Oxbridge dimwits in Westminster. I don't know what they were thinking sending BoJo up there as not only is he hated (even by his own party) in Scotland but his little jaunt looked or, more importantly, was made to look, irresponsible and self-centred, both of which adjectives seem to follow him wherever he goes and whatever he does.
Doris is -based on his prior career & tenure to date as PM- a crap leader. The only people who deny this are those who will say any and every CON PM is great. In the UK there are other leaders such as Starmer who may be no better, but that is not the point. Sturgeon, based on her career to date- especially when compared to Doris, is an outstanding success.
