Thank you very much and also Andy and bradders , great day, stunning weather, stunning roads, and you are right, we did get completely lost lol, but that’s part of the fun to me! , we did follow you up , find 3 petrol stations all closed, the last one in that village you mentioned, being on a streetfighter that could have been a problem, at some point we must have taken a wrong turn and got onto a tiny mountain road, with fantastic scenery, and the first time we saw any sign of live was a town called Beulah, long way in the wrong direction lol, then went over the Garth , upper chapel, army range, then came into Gwendr , and then back in erwood and finished the day at the starting point , the honey cafe! So yes sorry again but I hope you all enjoyed your selves
@bradders @Bumpkin @andy huggett , that road you took out of aberaeron was indeed much nicer as the coastal road, great scenery, hardly any traffic and much warmer too lol @Ducbird , very nice to meet you today, thanks for making the effort to come over, good to see your health improving, sorry for the lack of bins, is there any in there at all, forgot to check lol
Got home safe and sound, after 14 hours in the saddle....the multi is the tool of choice (or was the tool riding it Beat the SatNav by 45 minutes on the way home...not bad considering the roads were chocka with bank holiday drivers going home. Great to meet you guys, smooth riding at pace...nice to see. Thanks for FTS for organising the day out, good roads, decent weather (apart from the chilly bit on the coast) Cheers guys, looking forward to the next one
DucBird, you missed the Benny Hill moment just around the corner when I couldn't decide to trust my intuition or my sat nav. Chose the latter in the end, big mistake, but some of the group followed me round in circles for a minute...
Lovely to see you all and just sit and chit chat Thanks for all the hugs and I shall continue to get better and hopefully join up with you all soon for more coffee
#notabloodyclue. @Ducbird, your welcome to hop on the back of the PP any time you feel the need for a V Twin hit
It sounds like you went straight on at Tregaron, rather than turning left (North) towards Devil's Bridge. That road is interesting, not a fast road as single track and, as I recall, with poor surface and copious amounts of gravel in places. Chap on the GS probably loved it... Road from Garth over ranges, nice road. Also one from Beulah to Newbridge on Wye (AKA the roller-coaster).
Oi!........you lot!...........keep off my roads will you Glad you all had a good ride and well done those who came from afar just to get to the cafe, hope it's not to long to the next one and I can join you.
