  3. Thank goodness Biden has won and that orange lunatic is out! Bozo has been waiting for his “2nd bestest friend after Dominic” to win so they could do that killer deal with USA and buy all their chlorinated chicken and beef full of growth hormones and tell Ursula Bon deer Layden where to go with Europe. Now he has to back-track and tell Ursula that we really would like a deal with Europe and Rashford was quite right to get free meals for underprivileged kids.
Still, you always know where you are with Boris, what ever he says as policy or fact, you always know he will do the opposite

  4. I think USA is having a euphoric moment but I’m not sure why.... now stay with me here... the vote is pretty much 50/50 but with strongly divided opinions.... Trump will keep this in the courts for as long as he gets donations to fight, ofcourse he won’t use a penny of his money. We could yet see civil unrest in USA and Biden will now open the purse strings to fight COVID-19. Well he might or might not as The Senate is not behind him, so he has at least one hand tied behind him. If they do spend big on COVID it might mean lockdown etc which is not acceptable to a large part of the population, again civil unrest a problem. Americans are not used to paying to help other people, ye it might start nicely, but when the sums get massive along with factory closures and rising unemployment then it will dawn on the Americans that they will have to pay for this with increased taxes . I could go on... Then we get to the main international problem, it’s not Iran’s capacity to build a nuclear bomb, that can be taken out with a few air strikes, no it’s China. Now bear with me, China is still growing, is the factory of the world, you cannot believe how much we rely on China, and they are spreading their influence worldwide. They make a lot of PPE, huge capacity for vaccine manufacturing, a job lost or a factory closing in the west is mirrored by the equivalent opening in China.. ok I will stop rambling, but here’s is the strange thing, as odious as The Trump is, he is probably the only person who China is afraid of, they must be having parties in the street seeing a Biden victory. Donald is a test, accepted, but he shook up the political stage, we complain nonstop about career politicians and now we are probably saying adieu to the one who changed the mould. I await to be shot down in flames in grace.

  7. Shitty times ahead without a doubt. Economies are totalled in the western world beyond comprehension. And if sleepy Joe and his sidekick (the real target for presidency) continue to push the Covid 19 agenda, there’s going to be hell on. Trump was hell bent on kick starting the economy. But that would stand in the way of the big reset.... The doddering old fool wearing his mask everywhere. Covid-19 is the smokescreen for the big reset ;) Wake up people...:zzz::zzz:

  11. At the end of the day I think it's a shit show and whilst loads of people are happy to see the back of Trump, at least 50%+ a fraction of Americans for a start, it wasn't a white wash by any stretch and surely to God that should raise serious questions

Biden literally only just won in reality, that's not a good sign as @michel couque has pointed out.

Theres little to celebrate imo, I'm not a fan of Trump, but I understood why he won. It would seem others still haven't grasped that so the problem hasn't gone away.

I can't quite bend my head around why they chose Biden, out of anyone they could have chosen to really make a change, only if there's an ulterior motive to go with him

I can't help but wonder if it's almost a done deal he won't run out the 4 years and instead hand over to Kamala Harris?

It's not as far fetched as it sounds, I don't think, it'd be a way to get someone in power that wouldn't really have won by the usual route

Biden is clearly old enough to probably be satisfied with two years at the helm, and whether health reasons or not actually force his hand it wouldn't be seen as odd if a man of 79/80 decided he wanted to stand aside when the time came.

  14. If Trump had not let his ego get in the way of things and let the mask slip with his undoubted unpleasant and vindictive persona, he might have got another term.

Biden? A smokescreen to get Harris in surely.

Like so many elections though, if the choice is only between two types of bad. Then do not expect a good result. Happens in the UK time after time also..

The result makes me fairly happy though as it seemed Trumpty was steering the world of politics in a particularly unpleasant direction.

  16. Climate change and human rights are two issues China will not look forward to with Biden in charge, he may well become a thorn in their sides, albeit a different shade of orange.

  17. Lets wait and see how the Senate run off votes in Georgia finish before anyone can say whether the Senate will be for or against Biden.

  18. He’d need to somehow become leader of the Conservative Party rather than the head of a fringe movement which gobs off from the sidelines about whatever bandwagon issue gets men of a certain demographic frothing at the mouth in fury. However the Tories detest him, so there’s no way that is going to happen.

Nige is yesterday’s man. He’s a serial failure in terms of his electoral record and the policies and project for which he was the catalyst are proving to be an unmitigated disaster. People are waking up to the fact that nostalgic and nationalist isolationist politics are a busted flush which lead to the election of shockingly incompetent and weak governments and a divided citizenry baying for each other’s blood (and the setting up of rival Ducati forums). America doesn’t overtly tell other countries how to run themselves (well, ok, they do in South America and the Middle East) but it does set the tone and it’s shift towards centrism and sanity has altered the political centre of gravity. Johnson and Co are also yesterday’s men as they have driven the uk into a blind alley. I fully expect him and Wormtongue to be gone by Easter so a new face without the toxic baggage of the insults he’s hurled at the EU for the past 4 years and his backing of the Trump horse can try and build bridges.

  19. Beware Farage, he managed to get support in a way that others couldn’t, I would not write him off unless he gets no financing then he will disappear front live politics and start advertising men’s products or beer. I never knew there were rival Ducati forums, but I am aware of just other Ducati forums, some around for many many years?

  20. Well, as we’ve been repeatedly told on this very forum for several years now, people always know what they’re voting for. So on that basis, the Septics just knowingly indirectly elected a radical socialist black female president in waiting.

    That’s gotta hurt ;)
