1200 DVT Throttle Recall And Latest Map

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by duke63, Jul 23, 2017.

  1. Hi,
Emailed my local dealer (M&S Motorcycles) and they told me the recall was for faulty heated grips and the panniers lugs.
Any fuel map updates are automatically added when the bike is serviced apparently.

  2. Anyone else noticed a drop in mpg? Could always get 185 200 ish to the fuel light but now 150-170 depending on riding style/ mode etc also each bar on fuel guage is now only 20 miles instead of previos 25 miles ....roughly. Loving the performance after the last remap but now paying for it at the pumps (stock Base mutley dvt 2015 8250k miles). Any thoughts?

Also did someone mention a recall/safety update for heated grips??

  3. I've recently completed 1,500 miles of one up touring in Scotland, with paniers, and on long motorway stretches and making "steady progress" without "pushing on" too much I think I might have been getting very slightly better than that. But thinking about it, there were some long stretches of motorway with a 50 limit which will have distorted things, and when I was in Scotland I would generally top up after 120 miles if I passed a garage. I always live in fear of there being a long stretch without a garage once I get into more rural territory as this happened to me once in Brittany and it was a bloody pain :-o

  4. Checked with dealer and they said no items for update for my bike, 2015 DVT standard model. They did the fuel sender and seat may 2016. I did get whatever map was available in October 2016.
