Thanks twin. Yep that noise when i power up the bike is definitely gone. Will take it out for spin tomorrow as a few YouTube vids say these Multistrada sound much better with the valve continuously open
I think the default position for the valve is open anyway, but I could be wrong as I haven't checked to see if mine is operating OK with the much talked about spring mod - the alternative answer to the HealTech thingie.....
