Whilst wearing my very dark visor and sunglasses together I have certainly been close enough to be spoken to by plod, but not so much as a squeak. If there is the merest hint of darkness I carry a clear visor. Even though the helmets with built in visors may have passed the safety standards, they will not be as strong as those without. I know which is my preference.
