I’m sure mine’s just a two wire connector, (998S).

 

I read the thread title and was going to suggest ringing the Samaritans.

 

@TelRobinson here the side stand and wire mod on my 996 mate.

 

There is more dirt on your fingers than that bike mate!!

I got the connector box out and done it. Just need to wait to test it.

 

real simple mod but makes life so much easier

 

Nothing worse than having to sit on it, waiting for it to warm up.

Means the neighbours get to listen to the rattle for an extra 5 minutes

 

I changed my 998 stand to a 1098 stand, made bugger all difference.

I linked mine out at the relay so that can't go wrong (I have found them ever so unreliable in the past)
