Don't mean to hijack this thread, (but I'm going to). I have a 2016 1200 S DVT and fitted the US plate (don't remember the name) and the Givi V56 top box, can I fit supports for the rack to stiffen it all up when loaded??
Yes you can. That is what I did as I felt thewhole plot was a little flimsy. You can simply fit the Ventura braces and make a piece to form the support for your rack.
Do you have a link for the Ventura braces? I agree, when the box is loaded and with the Mrs leaning back on it I'd be waiting to lose them both off the back !!!! Then would have the hassle of picking all my luggage up !!!! PS, will I have to go out and get my bike filthy before fitting??
Yes, you will need a large amount of filth. Find the filthiest filth you can. Then apply Lbrackets as per this link https://www.ventura-bike.com/fitments/ducati/ducati-1260s-multistrada-18-19/
