Topping up the pension pot is always a great move especially if your just riding for second in the championship, there's no doubt he'll win another world title before he retires and let's face it with one title in his pocket how many people / riders actually achieve their dreams in life.
Tbf he was right at the time. Everyone was getting their arses slapped by "six times world champion Jonathan Rea" and the kwak at the time. Still finished second in the championship/best of the rest though.
Might be BMW now has the will to do what is required to win WSBK,always baffling with their resources why they continue to be uncompetitive and yet carry on season after season
