1199 Touring On A Panigale

  1. how to square your tyres off 50 miles down the road lol

  2. I got a comfort seat for mine and its shite. me arse was fooked after an hour. The suspension is like rock too, put the ohlins to wet mode and almost fully soft (everything to 30) and it was still pretty firm. I felt like kicking it over when I stopped!

  3. I'm not sure why everyone complains about the comfort seat. Ride to assn and back without the slightest discomfort or numbness. Great seat.

  4. it initially feels way softer but after a while it killed me!

  5. A comfort seat ( softer , more padding) is generally better over a short duration only.
In road cycling ( normally 23mm tyres @ 110 psi plus & no suspension ) seats have little or no padding, they are designed to support the sit bones. They look really uncomfortable but fair well after a full day in the saddle.
A firmer , more supportive motorbike seat can therefore provide more comfort on longer rides.

  6. That reasoning may work with a narrow cycle seat that touches just the right points, but it doesn't transfer very well to anything else.... For instance, I can sit for hours on my nice soft sofa.
Having tried the Comfort and the Race seat, which share exactly the same shape (with the comfort being softer) I can say that the comfort is by far the more comfortable on a long ride.
