Touring with the small sporty screens

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by ojobear, Apr 29, 2012.

  1. Yup, although I'm probably closer in size to a typical Japanese male, so that's probably why standard screens work for me.

I find that with my SS the wind blast just about equals the forward lean at about 80 mph leaving it very comfortable on the motorway, seat aside. Being shorter I am also leaning further forward than a taller rider, so it all contributes.

  2. What height are you Steve?

  3. I'm 5'8" and found the original screen totally unsuitable. I spent most of my test rides stopping and starting again after adjusting the screen height in a vain attempt to improve matters. However, I couldn't and made it a condition of the sale that the Ducati Performance screen was fitted. This was much better and after a bit of experimentation found that 3/4 way up the adjusters was perfect for me. The bit of extra width and height made all the difference.:upyeah:

  4. I think I am going to try and make a shorty screen from the standard screen for cutting about local, or I may just buy the Puig short and then utilise the DP screen for longer trips :upyeah:

  5. 5 foot 11 when I stand up straight mate

  6. Ok I'm 6'2, I'm not concerned, I think the basics are simple to grasp, any shorter screen is better than standard for short journeys/weekend blasts and the DP screen should see me ok for the longer stuff, I get it.
