And do people bother? I guess the excess is pretty large on that sort of policy, making claims pointless unless its a proper cartwheel?
Theft only lay-up type cover. Some do, I never have. Just big chains and lock it up even more than my other, eg I actually store it without wheels fitted: try pushing that bastard away, thieving wankers
Well here it is folks. Its a 2007 675 with 3500 on the clock. Bought after being dropped at low speed but not registered with the insurance so its got a V5. Its been pretty heavily breathed on already with track fairings (tatty so I might revive the wrapping track fairings thread!), oil heat sinc to sort the cavitation issues, wets and scrubs as well as titanium headers and a Scorpion can with single side conversion. The exhaust flapper has been removed and the flap on the air intake removed and disabled. I've bought some wheels as well so have the scrubs on them now too. A few things to do (fit rearsets, gear linkage, clutch cable and steering damper) and I'll be going over it with a fine tooth proverbial to make sure its all tight. Unfortunately the tank has been damaged (cosmetically) by fuel being spilt on it so I might have to have a look at that at some point. Im happy with it especially at £2600. What do you think?
Ok.... Here's a question. The Triumph is going to be sitting in the garage between track days. Should I be draining the fuel and running the engine dry to stop it being effected by fuel going off or am I worrying about nothing?
Worrying about nothing. Oil change every 3 or 4 trackdays, if its more than say 6 weeks between I tend to give it a run for 20 mins or so just to make everything get warm. Altho some will probably suggest thats a bad thing...!
