Re tyre warmers: I’ve raced on road only tyres and no warmer allowed. One lap of hard acceleration and hard braking (in straight line) and tyres were great for turn 1, lap 1 knee down. Low powered bike tho. It makes the whole, trackday experience so much easier. No worries about power. No worries about stands. No worries about sitting in holding area for 10 min with your tyres cooling. Another great reason to use road rubber.
I think it depends where you go. UK tracks 15-25 degrees ok for road tyres. Euro tracks, 25-35 turn road rubber to jelly, as I found last weekend.
