Track Lap Times?

Discussion in 'Trackdays & Rider Skills' started by JoePeps, Jun 13, 2022.

  1. Bit of an update,

    Snett 2.06.50
    Silverstone 2.25.00
    Cadwell 1.39.06

Absolutely buzzing with the Cadwell time, bike felt so good the last 2 days.

  2. We were there today, what were you riding?

  3. Nice stuff mate. Got my Cadwell times down too! In 38s for an ideal. Would like to think I can knock another few seconds off come race weekend in a few weeks.

    Cadwell 1:39.2
    Brands Indy 51:0
    Brands GP 1:36.3

  5. V4S with indicators and a number plate, I love over taking race bikes!

Nice! My optimal was a 1.38.2!

  6. Obviously a million miles off you lads but today was my first ever visit to Cadwell. Inters group.
    First session 2:10
    Second 2:02
    Third. 1:59
Fourth 2:00 including a bit of grass tracking o_O
I loved the track and would hope to be able to get a 1:50 after a couple more visits.

  7. Glad you loved the track. I'd enjoy it no matter what the pace.
Giving the BSB lads a tow I'm sure :joy:

  8. I was timing Glen Irwin today and he was doing 1.27.3 (phone stopwatch) on his first flying lap…1 second off Hickmans lap record! And that was with an oil spill most of the way up Park Straight and in Park Corner.

God knows where 12 seconds is out there!

  9. It's insane how fast these guys are. I was there last week and Luke Mosey, Tim Neave and Max Cook were there. The way Tim overtook me into Park Corner was just mind blowing and he was just back from a massive injury. I was braking just before the 2nd marker board and he came past like I was a complete novice.

  10. The oil spill was unnerving for me. And as for passing anyone anywhere other than the straights - forget it. I will improve.

  11. Yeah it killed any over takes into Park for me really unless it was a sex offender on a CB500.

Just got to build into it, pretty unnerving circuit with being so narrow so right to be a bit cautious

  14. That tickled me

  15. I guess not having to pay for the bike, and it being set up perfectly for your riding with the best components helps knock a few seconds off!

  16. Glad you lads had a good day. I wasn’t far away geographically and the rain moved to the right a bit. Did you get a full day?

  17. The guy that helped him on the day is also Tarran Mackenzie's crew chief so yeah does help a bit, but you certainly can't discount the skill they have. It's another level.

  18. The start was delayed by 90 minutes as they continued to clean up the oil spill from last night. I finished after 5 sessions as I was totally buggered. It started to spot with rain about 4:30 ish but I was in the van by then.

  19. I saw you amd may even have some video. Chunky guy on a pani going fast …. my kind of guy ;)

  20. After the false start yes. Few drips just as we left after 4

The pace they went into halls bends is impressive
