It is a shame buddy! I would always wonder how different it was with full power unleashed! But I only do 2 or 3 euros a year and I love the uk circuits so I’ve got some serious thinking to do
I've got a standard V4S, but I've been to Snett on a 102 day and Cadwell on a 105 day, both of which a V4S with Akros were fine. I've done Donington on a 98 day, Snett, Cadwell and Oulton in the fast group with no issues.
I've ran 107 standard and a bike full akra before me was 107, both at Cadwell one after the other.....
Similar to me with your track days. I've got a V4S track bike with a Termignoni Uscite system (no baffles). I don't know for sure but I'm told it's a bit louder than the Akrapovic set up. It does sound quite loud on tick over in pit garage and although I don't notice when I'm on it, people standing at the pit wall say it's very loud when I fly past. But obviously been a Ducati, it's a nice loud and not that obnoxious IL4 screamy loud..... Modern R1's being the exeption of course I've done a couple of Donington (loud, 105db ride by) days without issue. But I'd say I'm restricted to Donington loud days in the UK. Which I'm pretty relaxed about as Donington is my favorite UK track and it's only an hour from my doorstep.
I passed static at Snetterton but kept tripping the ‘Ride by’. Marshall told me where the microphone was and then I backed off every time I went past that point and didn’t trip it again.
weird. My standard 899 and 1299 would get black flagged as the pace went up every time. I had to short shift everywhere. akra’s with baffles are actually slightly quieter generally than the stock system. But the stock system fails static and depending on pace can fail the ride by as well. If I came out of clearways and didn’t short shift I’d get a black flag next lap guaranteed! For reference that was the indy circuit at 50-51 second laps
I think the V4's are a bit quieter than the old twins to be honest which helps. They also aren't that loud when riding compared to the racket on the static test.
