Unfortunately, things in life are not always as they seem… It is true that I picked up this wonderful X reg Gixxer on my trailer today however, the reason for doing so was not to bring it home and thus spoil my 100% Ducati collection. Basically, cycling along A24 for my lunchtime “round the block” workout…happened across young chap trying to start beautiful Gixxer by the roadside. Stopped beside him and asked if he needed help. Proceeded to attempt bump start (cycle shoes/Lycra….) in heavy traffic to no avail. I concluded battery dead due to reg/rectifier probably. He then pushed it to a quiet side road. I said I could come back with my trailer (after my cycle ride) and take him/bike to a garage. He couldn’t believe his luck (he had no phone and it was also his dad’s bike that he’d “borrowed”)… He sheepishly asked if I could actually take him and bike home a few miles away, so that’s what I did. And that explains the reason there was a Gixxer on my trailer. Sorry Richard, couldn’t resist considering you’d only recently suggested I get a Gixxer!
Thread revival. Finally got around to using my credit note from the cancelled TD last year. So….anybody considering Brands GP on 20th June…I suggest you bring wets/spiked ice-tyres knowing my luck!
