The metzeler had nothing to do with Silverstone the guy who owns the v4 sold it to one of his customers and it was returned to him, he is returning it to the suppliers for a refund.
Funny how false new spreads....one tyre done on an autobahn and the other nothing to do with the day...
Shouldn't the thread police moved this to 'Tyres' ??? That bike was parked outside our garage for an hour or so late yesterday afternoon .... we did wonder what the hell was going on, even Rick Hackett was having a WTF moment !!!
Ah haa... there's a different story. It's funny you say that because I was thinking of whipping the OE tyres off my V4 and chopping them in against a pair of KR108's. I wonder if its a gash batch?
I was talking to the guy with the v4 at the end of the day , the Pirelli on the v4 was the standard 200/60 that comes with the bike and he used it all day at Silverstone and the pic is the tyre after 4/5 sessions plus any road mileage he may have done, he normally runs slicks but was just running the Pirelli so not to waste it, but he is selling the bike because he cannot get comfortable on it.The metzeler was a 200/55 and 100% not been anywhere near a v4 Ducati.
