if you have a very quiet bike. Don't think most modern Ducatis will pass (even states a multi will fail with std exhausts on their site)
Nope. It's about 99 at 3/4 (yes that's right 3/4!!) max revs. Unless it was a special day like a fowlers day?
Not a chance. CC testing is at 3/4 max revs. A mates standard GSX-R600 didn't even pass! (I'm not saying you didn't, but something must have been off that day, because an 848sf with Termis at 7,500rpm is definitely more than 105dB).
I think it is 105dB these days, but still at 3/4 revs as you say. My little 583 DD bike didnt even pass!
Ar right, think I was equating back to a regular test at 98DB should get you thru a Doom test at 105db. Been a while (in fact probably 2010), I find ridiculous noise regs coupled to barely 8 minutes sessions at the price of a Snett or Cadwell puts me off ever really doing it again.
CC is local to me, and as said above, they're super strict on noise. Plus, they're only allowed 12 bikes on track at any one time, so you get 6 x 10minute sessions for your £150 and no garages or power It's definitely not beginner friendly either, as it's a pretty quick track with zero run off and tyre walls. No gravel traps there, and the best you can hope for is 6ft of lumpy grass and then a wall
Another vote for Silverstone, as although it's a quick trick in each of the 3 layouts, there's loads of tarmac run off before gravel and the track's so wide, you're never going to either be in others way, or have others in your way
I second the folks above mentioning Brands Hatch. It's short, easy to get one's head round but hard to get right. Really fun to ride with lots of height changes. Caldwell is brilliant as well. I just find hard-breaking downhill a bit scary. The long turn out onto the straight is heaven though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
