getting blind drunk on coruba (aged about 14) , puking every where and getting made to clean up the rum smelling puke 24hrs later is the reason i cant even stand the smell of dark rum ever since!!! but it is or was popular back home.. surprised you cant get it here.. bundaberg was a favorite of a rum drinking mate of mine.. you tried that?
my black arse mate huki who is 15 years older than me used make me drink coruba... he'd say "boy , you gotta drink till that lil ngger starts dancing" refering to the black kid on the label on the back of the bottle... saw the fucker break dancin a few times i swear...
My trouble was I brought a 750 mL of rum and a 1 L of coke, then drunk it in about 2 hours, missed my School Ball that night, funnily enough I never seen or heard from that girl again.
least you didnt puke on her! lol.. a mate puked on his school ball date, years later me and him were in a bar in auckland and she walks in, he managed to charm her and got her to see the funny side and she came back to a mates house party out in taupaki (middle of no where) and guess what? the fucker puked on her again!!! she was last seen walking of into the fog wearing her bra and a very angry head about 6 in the morn
Thanks dave for the tip on that route, did that and great roads = also checked out the hardware store which had loads on nice bikes to look at Got back last night, had 2 weeks great riding about 3,000 miles in total over fantastic roads Avoided getting any speeding tickets, which was possibly a lot of luck as cops were everywhere and speedo died half way thru trip Managed to avoid the worst / most of the rain
Friend Hired a Triumph America off Randall, yes he seemed a nice guy meet him when we picked the Triumph up However anybody considering hiring a Triumph America - there are other choices, feedback from Martin about the bike, seat is not up to long distance work, suicide side stand that bike will roll forward on if bike is pointing down hill, luckily bike was caught before it parked itself on its side, and handling it let go in the wet when the bike I was riding was stable in the same corners, fortunately road was wide enough to recover this from
Pleased you had a great trip Ken, and good to hear that dealing with Randall was a pleasant experience for you too. Lucky with the weather, especially with a Triumph America. I remember a ride along the M62 back from the TT in Torrential rain one year when my friend's America needed frequent treatment with a large tin of WD40 to get us home. Looking forward to 2018 when I hope to go again.
