  1. First year I won't be going to either for a while :(
(well, might sneak over to the Manx).
For anyone whose going for the first time - enjoy!

  2. Leave uk 01 June and return 13 June staying with same "Homestay" people as last year

Will be on the HMSP (sc projects noisey can) and a childhood friend is comming for his first ever TT. He might be on a bonneville but he hasn't decided yet.

Port Erin is a nice place and the Italian bike night was good, usually a meet on a Sunday at crag ny baa but weather was crap last year

    Looking forward to it.

  3. I had deposits paid for part of practice week, but decided not to bother this year. Probably going to the Bol d'or with a mate for his 50th.

  4. Our 3rd year this time, i take the van with our 2 bikes in the back, got an awning i attach to the side, can't beat it, camping on Glenlough again, absolutely packed only half dozen showers between 500 or so people but love it the craic is brilliant. We sit on the campsite banking literally 2 foot away from the bikes doing 150+ you can see the whites of their eyes and the intense concentration on their face, PRICELESS !!!!!.

Got grandstand tickets this year for the senior.

  15. Little bit of jealously is creeping in as I've only gone once & got too much on my plate this year for IOM trip. Looking forward to some video's & images already.

  16. Well, i was thinking about this and thought maybe a "live TT 2015 thread" - most of us have got smartphones now....so i was thinking, when i stop for a while ill throw up a photo of where i am and what were doing....when we go - weve got no set agenda atall...and stop when ever we want the a. Toilet, b. Food. c. Fuel. d. Sleep.....

Saying that - its all if i can get a decent signal - not sure there is on some sections of the mountain....

  17. There're a few apps like Periscope and Meerkat that allow you to live stream, but don't forget that IoM is not classed as the UK by MNOs and so you'll need a roaming package. Even 3 who have their "feel at home" roaming service for places like USA and France don't include IoM in this deal and the best you can do is £5 a day for their Europass all-you-can-eat data.

Keep an eye on the bills, they can escalate scarily fast if you're doing vids and pics folks!

  18. Go on Manx telecom website order yourself a SIM delivered to your address £5 when you get there top up with a £15 surfer and get unlimited data for 30 days. Make sure you order the correct SIM for your handset.

  19. Does anyone know how best to find out what is happening when and where on the island each day/evening with regard to events, meets, shows etc ?

  20. Official programme usually has a calendar of events and can be bought on the ferry. Helps the crossing pass at least.

Not sure if it's been said already but a portable radio is a useful thing to take for the live race commentary broadcasts to help keep abreast of race progress.

Hope all have a fun & safe trip.
