when are you going Dave ? - we're leaving next Thursday night about 6 ish from Bristol....going to dawdle up there nice and slow....
I'll be heading up on Thursday as well - probably late morning or early afternoon. I'm stopping at a hotel in the Yorkshire Dales overnight then heading to Heysham on Friday morning for the noon ferry
yep - we always seem to cop the late nighter's - never been on a day crossing....and we normally book the week we're there...
Doubt it, steam packet only release bookings 1 year ahead of time - it's a bloody nightmare trying to get the crossing I need even a year ahead - managed to get the Thursday evening ferry this year.
At the calf today as the mountain was closed for cones & 1 way. A gorgeous place watching the seals If a bit dear [emoji15]
I'm on the 11:15 crossing on Thursday from Heysham. I'll be on my '94 900ss (yellow swingarm and number board). My last time was '99 so it's been too long.
2am for us (just after you) it would be nice to run into some of you! Not literally....figure of speech...
We 'scattered' a mates ashes on the road down to the calf a few years ago. Not a very salubrious occasion, although it was Petes wish to be scattered on the Isle his wife only gave us a small bag of him (probably about an arm full or maybe a lower leg) and just as we opened the bag a bloody great gust of wind blew him all over the place.
Ill go to creg....see what happens....cheers....i think ill just post on here take a photo, upload it, if i can get a signal of course....
I'm on the 14:15 from Heysham on Wed 3rd, usually gets us there in time to watch the evening practice session from somewhere in the Bray Hill area. DOC GB Mad Sunday Meeting is 11:30am at the Sulby Glen Hotel. If the weather is fine and anyone is up for it, I will be at the Grandstand at 06:00 on Mad Sunday morning for a gentle rumble around the course.
