fair comment but at the end of the day if your going to build a special then it has to be just that not just a load of bolt on chinese cnc gold.
Thanks for the compliments, this will be the last pic for a week or so untill the frame etc is powder coated, this is my std 750ss frame and the modded frame, now this bike is nearing completion i can crack on with mine.
firt part of the puzzel has come back, the new wrong way round valve seats have been done with success, that was the big worrie,i just have the front cylinder to finish porting, and a bit of cleaning up in the combustion chamber, im hoping to pick the powder coat up before weekend.
the owner is taking over the build now,i have the motor to sort out,and the bike build should be fairly stright foward as it was a complete bike a week ago,the main concern is getting the automatic clutch from the usa in time,if we ont get it his firt parade on it will have to wait,i have to finish the fuel tank tomoro #2 so we can get everything to paint.
No hi tech stuff here...disaster,the local bike shop orderd and fitted the wrong tyres and wrong size, so they have to go back....no much diffrance to AM22/23 track compound,on a plus side they would do 10,000 miles, nice finish on the wheels and forks finished with satin laquer, the paint is going to Clive at Rapier paintwork tomoro for his usuall top job.
just getting the cylinder head finished, recess for the exhaust gasket done in the new port,i spent most of today assembling the heads and shimming the valves, nasty job, thankfully its only a 2 valver,i had to make the useless spring holding tool, although it works ok when assisted with a cable tie, only 10 days to get if finished.
