Typos

I blame radio 1 and TV. When role models cant communicate above an infant level, what hope do 'uncool' teachers have? its embarrassing (and a uniquely British problem)

 

People mixing up bought & brought annoy me.

And using the word bold, when bald is appropriate.. "My tyres are completely bold". Really? I've never seen brave tyres before.....

 

Let's not forget the "literally" "actually" "basically" culture at the moment.

Oooh, and Christian Horner the Red Bull team principal who says "y'know" 20 times a minute!

I always re-read my posts.
I often re-read them again once if posted them. And then if I see a mistake I jump on the edit button. That's surely one of the thing's it's there for. I touch type, but I find I often type "their" or "there" when I mean "they're". But I don't let that go. My brain clearly can't keep up with my fingers, or vice versa.

The words my Apple phone autocorrect places I'm sometimes is unreal or comedy genius!

The website "dam you autocorrect is priceless.

 

Over on "Duc.ms" they must have huge engines in their bikes, because their cranks all have oil "galley" plugs, must be huge to have an ocean going kitchen in the motor!!! It pisses me off no end, it's "gallery" FFS.

 

I put "galley plug" and Im English? :tongue: No idea there was this alternative spelling? Google brings up hits for both so we are not the only dislicksified ones. :biggrin:

And yes it is a huge motor - a 900! A mighty meaty motor matey! Woowoo.

 

Shouldn't that be 'damn you autocorrect' :wink:
