Tyre Reccomendations for 996

  1. Depends what wheel size you have. 5.5" 180/55, 6" 190/55. Track use - 195/65 KR dunlop on a 6" and no problem with clearance with a mag swingarm ;)
     
  2. They were originally fitted with a 190 rear, more of a fashion thing of the time, the 180 works much better for the road! I am really impressed with the PDRC's, turn in is so much quicker and smoother and dry grip is fantastic with loads of feel, hardly any warm up time needed, but then again it has been warm!

    Not sure about the BR10's DD mentions above, good that the got through the MOT though!

  3. I've received an email advertising a pair of Metzler Rennsport for £140.

    The only sizes available on the rear are 180/55 or 190/50. I read in the owners book it says 190/50 but now I'm confused what to use.

    Any thoughts on the Rennsport and size? Seems a good price to me, and the bike will not be used on track.
