Got my letter from ducati customer service at end of July. Not heard from TFL, have just re-read the email and it said the following. Within the statement reference is made to Euro Standard as zero. This simply refers to the fact when your motorbike was manufactured this was prior to the introduction of the Euro Standard. TFL sometimes don't understand this. Has anyone else had this (1992 900ss) or is there still a back log at TFL. Cheers Gaz
TFL have definitely a back log and are very inconsistent with their replies. I have applied for a 749 and SS900 and after many emails back and forth the 749 has been accepted and the SS900 rejected! I think TFL try many excuses to discourage people from applying or giving up. At the beginning the Certificate from Ducati wasn't accepted because the signature of Andrea Goggi didn't mention homologation department, then they required to be Euro 3, etc. Now Ducati Bologna issues new letters with Homologation Dept. added to the signature.
It’s all an absolute joke. I sent them my homologation letter for my 996 last week and they declined it because it didn’t have my name and address on the letter! I spoke with Ducati and they said none of them have that so god knows what’s going on. Complete avoidance tactics from TFL
Dispute their decision and reply that the V5 and the homologation letter have the chassis number for the vehicle you're applying for and that is important. You're applying for the vehicle to be compliant not for yourself
