I envy Mr. ducati2242. I, like he still does, owned a gorgeous 2006 999R. And like a tit, I sold it. Get one if you can. They are a sublime bike. I fancied something daft as my last superbike and daft is what I got.... A 1098R. A savage beast that needs a more skilled pilot than me to tame. Don't get me wrong, I love it. But at first I couldn't get along with its raw punch from the throttle. It wheelies all over the shop and I was constantly rolling off before it looped me! Ever laughed out loud in your lid? You will with a 1098R. What ever you go for, try before you buy.... Although I now love my 1098R, I shat myself a bit on my first track day and hankered for my 999R again..... Booo hoooo....
