  1. Perhaps something is wrong with your 1299 then? If I nail mine out of a corner in 2nd or 3rd gear it's running out of revs pdq.

  10. Have to say it looks much better in this than the pre-release images!

  11. And soon to be a longterm in depth review here on our forum @El Toro

  12. My mind is made up. I’m having one! Hopefully by the spring dealerships might have some rather than having to wait….we shall see. The question will be how much difference having an extra 2000 miles on my 959 will make to the trade in value????

  13. Don’t blame you. They look bloody lovely! :)

  14. My reliable information is that those ordered in August this year “may arrive” in the UK in March next year. The problem is availability of components and chips due to cv19. Added to which the new omicron variant isn’t helping with staff allegedly dropping like flies. So if you want one I’d get it ordered now :)

ps When I was at the factory a couple of weeks ago Claudio Domenicalli told us that they hadn’t been able to produce anything for 4 days due to lack of components.

  15. That’s a tiny bit worrying. You would hope that factories will wait for components rather than seeking alternatives. I’d hate to have the build up completely squashed by a bike made up of inferior standby components.
I guess I need to start the conversation with Ducati Leeds toot suite.

  16. Has anyone received there Bayliss yet? I managed to get mine just before Christmas

  17. Mine’s at the dealership. I’ll get it when they go back after the holidays. What number is yours?

  18. Honestly, it's all about the looks on any Ducati, or any other 650 plus cc roadbike, unless (like a lot of lads on here) you are a high end track biker.
    The bayliss is lovely.
Buy with your heart, not your head would be my advice.

  19. Sat on it at the show and still love it, just wish I could have got on with mine better. Personally I still think the smart money is on a 959 Corse, especially if you can find on with Akrapovic silencers. It’s 95% of the bike in my opinion

  20. Thought I’d add to this thread seen as I started it. Bought the Bayliss and couldn’t be happier. Just started getting a few miles done whilst the roads are dry and there’s just enough differences from my 959 to know I’m on a different bike but not enough that I have to relearn how to be comfortable riding it. It looks beautiful and gives me that warm feeling as soon as I go near it (probably need to get out more).
Anyway I’m thoroughly happy with my decision even though I traded both my bikes in against it to leave just enough for some noodles in the cupboard for the next few months!
