V4 V2 Or V4?

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by RexD, Mar 10, 2020.

  1. As people are saying 100bhp is more than enough for the road...
    But 200bhp is nice :)
I've dropped a tooth on the gearbox sprocket and the V4 is very well behaved for the road. Like others have said if you've got your heart on a V4 go for it because you'll always regret it. If you want something that you think your in charge of try the V2.
When I was younger 750's were big Superbikes so don't kid yourself the V2 is a soft option. Have fun stay safe.

  2. Tis a very good point to be honest.

The v4 is a very easy road bike compared to Ducati’s of old from my experience

  3. My 1098R was a God awful road bike unless you can find a fast and flowing A road (rare)
Brilliant on track though... til I got to grips with the V4S :D

  4. Buy what you want, it's your money.

    This is the peak though.

  5. I've gone from a 748, to an 848, to an 1199 and now own a 2018 V4, picked up from Moto Rapido with just 600 miles o the clock.

My thoughts on the V4? Well, I'm absolutely in love with it! Going from the 1199 , which was border line unrideable at sensible speeds to the V4 which by comparison is as smooth as a babies bum.

And it handles extremely well too. Although mine is the base model (my budget didn't stretch to the S model) it's an incredibly stable bike at any speed.
Gone is the Ducati tendency to run wide on slower corners with this bike.

V4 or V2? It seems to come down to power to me.
Personally I rather have the extra power and not need it, than need it and not have it. And at the end of the day, it'll only go as fast as you make it go.
