V4 V4 Essential Mods?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Martin Newman, Aug 6, 2024.

  1. Thanks DarR , but have to agree with CM4ppy, a tail tidy is a must for me and I already have the Axle sliders from my 950s, believe they are compatible
Stands & Qlock I already have.
    Yes want a comfort seat
    What's a wheel chock?
Always need more riding gear even though I have loads
I have a Healtech servo eliminator from my 950s , I asked on another thread if compatible with the V4 to be told it didn't have an exhaust flap so a little confused!
Are the knee pads for protection or purely for grip ? Or both.

  2. Ive just sold my V4S and have a few bits for sale.

I'll try and put them in the For Sale section at the weekend but they are:
    Enduro small screen
    Ducabike multi adjustable clutch lever
    Evotech Satnav mount
    Low heated seat
    Iconic parts rear rack

Think that is all but i'll get some photos done.

  3. Oooooo , could be interested , send me a PM & price if you wish...

  4. i added the heated grips and seats, and oh my are they nice when it gets a little cold. Had heated grips on most bikes, but the seats take it to another level. I also prefer the lower screen and managed to find a carbon screen for a reasonable amount. If you go dark for the screen and need the side deflectors, don't buy the Ducati accessories set (about £80), buy the pikes peak/RS set, about £30 all in for these two parts.

  5. Hi Martin, You're welcome.
A wheel chock is the most under-rated accessory. Not only is it used for parking the bike upright in your garage without the use of stands, it also triples as a secure stand for trailering your bike and handy at the track if you're so inclined.

The Techspec knee pads are for grip.

  6. Thank you.

  7. If you intend to ride in all weathers (the normal UK day) I would add Pyramid Plastics fender extenders for the front and rear.
    Buy Motorcycle Hugger Extensions (pyramidmoto.co.uk)
    Pyramid Extenda Fenda | Matte Black | Ducati Multistrada V4 S 2021>Cur (pyramidmoto.co.uk)

The back of the bike will still get very dirty but they help keep some of the crap off the bike.
I have found that using a ceramic detail spray also helps as the dirt doesn't stick so easily and it is easier to clean what's left off the bike.

  8. Thanks Veetwin, I completely agree with you but nobody could pay me to ride in the rain and winter, I'm not a fan !

  9. Hi Martin, If you're not going to tour, why did you buy a big heavy Multistrada?
Wouldn't you have been better served with a StreetFighter S?

  10. Understand what you're saying, I did 10,000 miles on my MTS 950, didn't really go touring but Wow did I enjoy every single minute on that bike and loved the ownership experience.
+ with 205 bhp on a streetfighter my licence would last about a nano second.
I also love the riding position of the Multistradas, I'm sure the Sfighter would be a bit too wristy for me.

  11. I don’t use my PP for touring, not so far anyway.

I’m 6’5” so the Multi fits me.

I tried a SF when mine was in for service. It’s an impressive bike, but I was glad to get back on mine.

  12. One of the best upgrades/accessories I bought was the RoadLok disc lock, so convenient and effective. Bough off this site with site discount.

  14. My iconic sat nav bracket snapped, they kindy sent replacement bits FOC. Whilst I was thinking about it an Evotech sat nav bracket came up for sale on here. I have to say the Evotech is better as it doesn’t flex as much as the iconic.

  15. Thanks for that , I had chosen the Evotech item after finding the one on my 950s perfect for the job...

  16. + 1 here to. I’ve got the Evotech mount, it’s a good solid piece of kit

  17. I've been thinking to transfer over my Givi tanklock, flange & 5ltr bag to the V4 , does anyone have any experience good or bad with it hampering access to the power on button, it looks quite close to where the front of the tankbag would sit.

  18. I use mine almost daily, couldn't agree more.
