So 28 cold gives me 34 hot. Tyre really fooked now and sliding around loads but more due to being worn out.
still not 100% with the correct rear pressure for when pushing it on the road! Currently on 26 cold and that's giving me 33 hot. Feel like I should go lower still?!
Too low cold which is why you are getting a 7 degree increase with heat. 1 or 2 higher psi cold should give you about 32 psi hot. Counter intuative I know but rule of thumb, too low a pressure will heat the tyre too much, too high a pressure will make the tyre too cool. Andy
Tyres can be sensitive to small changes. If you have tried 26 and 28 cold, try 27. I have all this to come when mine arrives and I've only just cracked the Metzeler Racetec SC3 pressures on my 1098R after 9 trackdays ! Andy
I’m ok with track temp @26 hot (20 cold).just trying to get the right temp for fast road use! im guessing it’s needs to be around 28-30 hot for fast road.
