  1. Sigb of a race bike IME. Top end materials made for function over form :upyeah:

  2. 6K!

  3. I agree with function over form but as for top end materials, I've seen lost wax process castings at secondary school that were better finished. It really is rough and ready in all but the visible areas.

  4. I think you're right. And that's insane money. Ridiculous.... I fitted a beautiful high end system (with equal length manifolds) on my 911 turbo and it was less than that. And a lot more to it as well. Crazy. Doocardi are taking the piss.

  9. No surprises for me at all. 35k buys you a special engine. You'll still have to drop 10-15 large to get it track ready, steady go! I wonder how it'll shape up against the S1000R Race??

  10. Brilliant bit of kit by the sound of it, well done Ducati

  11. Reading the MCN report would suggest that to get the best out of it you need to be a pretty darn good/fast rider (so it's a good job I've got the V4S ) Due to the shorter stroke you have to ring it's neck to unleash its (plentiful) power. I was pleasantly surprised at how torquey the V4S is, it pulls very hard in third from quite low down. This luxury won't be afforded to the R. You'll have to bang it down to 2nd every time to get similar drive. A 5+mm shortening of the stroke is a lot, and will be felt big style going from the V4S to the V4R.

It sounds like the bodywork has had a good old tweak too. Which means all the carbon fibre FullSix loveliness that I've just paid shitloads for, for my V4S, won't fit... Knackers! And neither will the Termignoni Uscite full system... Double knackers!! Ah well, I'm not complaining. My V4S has exceeded my expectation- it's fekkin ace and more than enough for me... For now ;)

  14. Nice! Lucky you :):upyeah:

Are you using it for road and track? If track, what preparation/mods do you have in mind?

  15. March build for my R too.

  16. I’m not sure they need any mods do they ?

  17. Cheers :)

No real mods at the moment, got race exhaust kit to go on at pdi and have ordered the carbon vented clutch cover.
