we got lucky and caught 6 john dory one afternoon.. the first was a classic .my mate through a spear at it and we all laughed like fuck as it look like he missed by miles but he dove of the wharf to retrieve it and the fish was on the end!!! some old boy come over and took my bro and a mate out on his boat for 5 hours and they came back loaded with snapper... best fish i ever caught was a 37kg kingfish offa pihia. we used to charter a boat every couple of months. i cant fish for shit so it pissed my mates right off!!! i was always catching the biggest fish on our trips... id get me mate to tie the knots and bait my hook then id land em, they hated me...
Yeah, I was supposed to be there again this year but life got in the way etc... any celebrity racers this year?
No celebs this year, except maybe the Aussie Speedway sidecar racers that stayed here after the Australasian Speedway Champs, and about a doz Australian Historic Racing Motorcycle Association riders on their hand shift/foot clutch bikes of various makes.
