V4 Waiting On New Pikes Peak

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by BILLY GORDON, Oct 7, 2022.

  1. In this instance i would suggest they are trying to protect other buyers awaiting orders.

  2. While there is nothing stopping someone reselling after it arrives, it's getting uncomfortably close to the scalping that we see in other markets with limited product, high demand.

  3. All those are dealer fit options anyway. According to Blade in Oxford, they are now all delivered to the dealer as standard platform. What I didnt realise is that this means you pay dealer labour (at £90 an hour) to fit on top of the listed price for the extras!

  4. I've just ordered mine and been told deliveries expected to ne March/April. Is that in line with what others hear / understand?

  5. my dealer will always fit stuff bought from him FOC. but red calipers; £750 for paint :astonished:

  6. Mine always did too but I'm told its a change of agreement between Ducati and dealers(?)

  7. To be honest, I just don’t know. This is what I was told the same time last year and I’m still waiting on delivery a year and 3 days later.

Hopefully the delays are reducing and 8 PPs were delivered to Ducati Leeds a few weeks ago so that was promising.

Ducati really are crap at communication but, when you want one enough, you’ll wait it out…….like me lol.

  8. If the dealer wants to fit accessories FOC, that comes out of their margin, it’s nothing to do with Ducati.

  9. They are only fitting the heated grips

  10. They are only fitting the heated grips

  11. All mine were fitted foc. Including the exhaust.

  12. All of those options are "simple" enough to fit if you don't want to pay your dealer to do it , heated grips and seats would need to be dealer enabled but that only takes a few minutes.

  13. Ducati Leeds advertising a pre registered for £29k you’d have to be desperate to buy now at that price .. I’d rather wait until May next year and save myself £2.5k, I’m pretty sure my local dealer would offer a discount for a loyal customer, it’s madness !

  14. Yep - I’m holding out for my order as I point blank refuse to pay over the odds for new or secondhand. Not that the PP is exactly cheap but, you know what I mean.

  15. they do look good

  17. Looks good are you putting any parts on it

  18. Mine wasn't due until March. I'm now told that the bike has left the factory and is on it's way. Should be picking up this month around the 21st.

So either production is picking up or people are cancelling due to the current climate and the bikes are becoming more readily available.

  19. Yep - got a bit carried away this morning with the options list lol. Anyway, urban and touring packs, exhaust, tpms, heated seat, electric fuel cap plus a few other bits and bobs. Bike is being taken to a detailer for paint correction and ceramic coating so not sure when I’ll take delivery but the smile is definitely back.

  20. I think bikes are starting to turn up. Ducati Leeds received eight bikes at the end of last month and my dealer (in Northern Ireland) has just received six bikes over the past couple of days.
