  1. Good reviews guys.
So the general consensus is that the 1199 is a vast improvement as a track only tool over the 1*98??

  2. Im gonna hijack your thread a little. :pompus:

Didnt wanna add another thread which was similar.

I am in the same boat, I have a very fresh 2008 1098s ( ex UK bike with v low mls ) and was thinking of an 1199. I am thinking of moving on the 1098 to buy and 1199. But unsure what to do myself as the bike i have right now is perfect.

    Great read ! :upyeah:

What you say about reviews is right somewhat. The pani is all new so obviuosly it needs to be ridden a little differently (?) as it doesnt really have a frame , so it will behave differently, or more so have different characteristics compared to a conventional sportsbike with a frame. I dunno, Im no expert but that's why I can surmise.

I myself aint really into the "s" with the elec suspension, Id rather a conventional setup to be honest, but thats just me.

tks for taking the time out to write that.

Another nice bit of info, cheers.

I still dont know what to do ! ( keep 1098 or sell it ).

  3. From what I'm told the 1299 is so much better than the 1199 in terms of rideability and stability. The small changes they have made have transferred into big improvement.

Not ridden either but trust the judgements of those who have

  4. yeah, reading same thing everywhere. But the difference in a 1299 & 1199 here is 23k new for base model and appx 15k for a used 1199. Still a lot of wonga.
