  3. I wish it were a straight swap! When you consider the lighter wheels, Ohlins shock/forks/damper, and M50 calipers it is actually a bargain, because that lot alone would set you back around £4-5k (I was planning on changing those anyway - if I wasn't, I wouldn't have swapped). On top of that you get much more sophisticated electronics, a more pleasing exhaust, ludicrous power,and less problems explaining upgrades to the insurance company!
     
  4. You went the right route imo. I was thinking forks, new wheels don't interest me. I always said don't get the 959 if side pipes are an issue. Get the 1299 or 899.
    I assume you mean ludicrous power above around 7k rpm? The 959 doesn't do much below that, toddles around quite nicely.
     
  5. It is just daft. I was looking at a couple of my trackday videos and the speed of the 959 near the limiter in 5th gear is similar to the speed of the 1299 in 3rd gear.... the rate it piles on speed from 30-150+mph is just mind bending (for me).
