  1. Alot of fly Fisherman use a squirt of WD 40 on their flys, its supposed to be a very good fish attractor !!!

    WD-40's formula is a trade secret.
    WD-40's main ingredients, according to U.S. Material Safety Data Sheet information, are:
    51% Stoddard solvent
    25% liquefied petroleum gas (presumably as a propellant)
    15+% mineral oil (light lubricating oil)
    10-% inert ingredients
    The German version of the mandatory EU safety sheet lists the following safety-relevant ingredients:
    60–80% heavy naphtha (petroleum product), hydrogen treated
    1–5% carbon dioxide.
    White spirit or mineral spirits (US), also known as mineral turpentine, turpentine substitute, petroleum spirits, solvent naphtha (petroleum) or Stoddard solvent, is a petroleum-derived clear, transparent liquid
