  1. I wasn't being nosy but just trying to establish how much under the going rate (as a percentage) they typically offered and whether having the cash would be better in trying to get a deal from a dealer, rather than p/x'ing.

  2. you had a funny turn then el tel?

  3. 50% Tel, or that's what it looks like from what I've heard.

  4. So not worth it from a cash in hand perspective

  5. No. Sell privately every time. You need to be very desperate for cash to sell to these people or to a dealer, cos you're gonna take a big hit.

  6. My guess is that I'd take a hit of £1.5k between a dealer and a private sale. But I'm only weighing up the options right now.

  7. The big difference between selling privately or to a dealer is time. With a dealer you just agree a price and sign the paperwork, job done, but you lose money. Selling privately is a bit more of a faff and takes longer but you get what you want. Go to webuyanybike.com and you'll just get insulted.

  8. Give it a go Tel, but put in a fake phone number cos they won't leave you alone.

  9. keep it

  10. Flog it. There's too many great bikes out there to stick with just one.

  11. [h=2]We are happy to offer you:[/h]£6,175

  12. keep it have two.

  13. Better than I expected.

  14. well I had time to kill today.
am NOT getting rid of bike but thought I would do the main 2 online we buy any bike sites.

well maybe just chance but are they are linked ?????

within seconds just a few moments ago the phone rings twice and you guessed right - both companies with valuations one from a landline and one from a mobile.

    I wonder

  15. I gave them a fictitious number :upyeah:

  16. They gave you a fictitious price :upyeah:
