EJ? Do you mean the car? Gilps reckons I'm going chav but I'm going to get a GTi Golf. Yeuw! And yeah, well we wouldn't sell you lot the good stuff and drink carp here would we! Aw wot u mean eh bro?
With Golf thing I agree, then again same for BMW MX and Audi Sx. If you get a merc you a pensioner so no German cars. Get that Morun thing, you know V8 pickup you Ozz build they are cool. Regarding adds all of them mention BBQ and most having a beer and BBQ when sunny.
By "that Morun thing" do you mean the Holden Monaro ...Proper modern musclecar, big grunty engine. There was a Vauxhall Monaro that used to pass me as I walked home from the station with an exhaust that would put a lot of be-Termied Ducatis to shame!
Yes and no. The same company, the same chassis, the same base engine. Holden Monaro (Vauxhall) had I think two engine version turbocharged and supercharged. Morun is a pickup version of it. At the front looks almost the same, engine only supercharged me thinks but set for more torque over top end bhp. Saying that still stupid numbers for bhp and no weight at the back .... rear wheel drive obviously. Holden Maloo is the proper name: You can get your bikes, your pigs and your friends proper fast somewhere to a market ;D I love it.
In OZ, everyone drives a "Ute".......you should see them in the rain cos there is no weight on the back........and they are mostly pimped up....horrible things......
I was thinking in rain they must be fun, especially V8 one's. Like BMW in Polish winter with summer tyres, takes some skill.
Damn straight! Well, not everyone ... Bogans everywhere though. Me, I'm a German car/Italian bike kinda guy now GTi Golf for now, Porsche later on... oh yes!
Lets have a brain storm here Opel is kind off German, Vauxhall is Opel, the Ute I been talking about is Vauxhall so is Opel so is German-ish so you back to having a Ute in Oz like most Oz apparently do. I want one with 5l V8 I can put a bike in the back to add weight or pig for BBQ.
Ha! That's a stretch ... GM is an American company, Holden is part of GM and based in Aus and Holden make the ute. Well, Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) make the Maloo, and they're owned by Holden. Opel is also part of GM. Whereas Volkswagen are German and make the Golf - which I did the pre-purchase inspection of yesterday and did a cheaper deal on this morning. Hopefully all the finance etc will go through in the next day or so and I'll be able to pick it up this week. Woohoo!
I was hoping you will miss that especially that GM is now like half British banks. Well enjoy your VW I hope it starts every day and give trouble free, sensible, soulless service.
I hope it does too though I'm not sure a car that small and light with 250 hp could be called soulless! I pick it up tonight, t minus 7 hours and 47 minutes...
