Well thats me never buying another ducati.....

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by d8mok, Sep 17, 2013.

  1. Never be loyal to an inanimate object, buy it because you like it, but never be loyal to a brand, save your loyalty for your family and close friends.

but sell your bikes because of a cancelled factory tour, that's a bit melodramatic, I wouldn't cut your nose off to spite your face, they're nice bikes.

  2. probably have a main bearing fail or crankcase crack anyway so better sell while it still works lol :)

  3. I've tried many times to speak with Ducati UK and never heard a word back, they probably think you should speak to the dealer so they just ignore you .... hope Tim is a little different ?

Annoying thing is, despite all of this poor service I'm on my 15th Ducati....

  4. They know you're not worth speaking to. You'll buy them anyway.

  5. That's p1ss poor on their part and at a time when the need all the loyalty they can get !

  6. [QUOTEthis reinforces my belief that one can never be a fan boy (or girl) of ANY company.
Their loyalty is to their senior board, then the shareholders..the punter is somewhere beneath the rats that leave faeces in the staff kitchens. The punter is a money donor.

Check out those turds at Apple who buy into all this evangelical bullshit...i cant believe people fall for all that shit..but they do..people camping out for 3 nights in the pissing rain because a company who dont know you or care about you are going to start selling you an expensive phone..youre merely a demographic....yet these punters will defend and defend and promote to the enth degree..wake up.
If the bikes are good, or there is one you love then thats brilliant...thats the end of the relationship as far as im concered.
    ][/QUOTE]

    Fucking spot on mate.

Although id seriously consider another marque like MV,KTM or Aprillia after that kind of treatment. Why would you want a brand new ducati anyway ,they all look and sound shit to me and fall apart for the first couple of yrs as ducati seem to use customers as test riders for new products. If I had 15k spare I wouldn't spunk it in the ducati store for sure.More like bike trader or ebay for a nice 916sp/916sps/996r/998r or 999r xerox rep ie a proper fucking bike with non of that electronic cack.

Go and visit Aprillia in Noale instead mate and buy a 899 in 2-3 yrs time when they have sorted all the ducati gremlins out.Cheaper to.

  8. Go anyway mate, you've spent the cash on your travel/hotels etc so don't give yourself even more reason to seethe about it
You'll still have a fantastic time...there are plenty of people on here that would love a trip to Italy in the Autumn, even without the Factory Tour.
I can understand you're aggrieved,no one likes to feel let down, but lets face it....nobodys died or anything, have they?..not trying to minimise your justifiable anger, but worse things will happen in your life,if they haven't happened already.
And don't deny yourself all the good things about your Dukes because of this...as stated in an earlier post, you'd be cutting your nose off to spite your face...
(you can always stick it to the factory by not buying a brand new example or using pattern parts,eh?)
    You'll be reet :upyeah:

  9. yeah......grrrrrrrrrrr

  10. Update-

Ive had some contact with Tim Maccabee from Ducati Uk , who said he would look into it for me. Today i got a call from ducati who have managed to sort it o we can still do the factory tour for sure. However the mueseum may not be available but they will try for us. They have also got us some BSB VIP tickets for a round of our choice.

So thumbs up to ducati uk for sorting out my problem.

  11. Are you buying a new bike from them now?

  12. That seems more than fair.....shame you had to complain to get the result you wanted.....enjoy the BSB!

  13. Sounds like a result!

  14. Yeh a 899 or 1199 will be next I guess. But not til our house purchase is sorted. As I'll be keeping the 848 and monster so I need our new garage to store them. Might even have a 1198 monster instead of m1100s too. I've got a 30ft x 30ft garage to fill lol

  15. Well done. :upyeah:

Maybe, one day they'll even admit that Desmoquattro rockers flake for no apparent reason...

  16. Yeah nice to see it resolved but not good treatment in the first place.

I still stand by what I say about brand new dukes.Seems a lot of hassle with lots of recalls.

I realise there are a lot of ducati luvee's on here but seriously you telling me if a company treated you badly and just cancelled via crap email and you had lost £500 you would go back when its time for a change of bike.If this is the case can you please join my gym.Membership is £500 and when you turn up ill just say bollox were closed or send you a email. You telling me next time you fancy joining a gym you are going to come back to me.ROFL.

Maybe I should call my gym Ducati so mugs keep spending money with me no matter what.At least with the net and forums poor customer care soon gets out and low and behold companies have a different attitude toward you as a customer. Why because they genuinely care about you.Pull the other one.

  17. But he hadn't lost £500, just the factory visit.

  18. Indeed, and that's free if you're a member of one of the DOCs.

Last time we went it cost us under £50 in same day flights from Stansted. €1.50 for the bus from the airport to the factory and €5 for lunch in the staff canteen. A few beers in the bar up the road and then the bus back to the airport in the evening for the flight home.

  19. I think this was a complete over reaction.

  20. but the whole point he'd invested the £500 notes, was because of the factory visit.

Do Ducati think people just live around the corner?
