What A Shit Day

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by simmytt, Oct 29, 2018.

  1. Unfortunately, this is part of the deal of having a car that cant be stolen without the keys, sad but seems to be happening more often. Hope you get sorted out dude and hope the theives do to but not in the same way!

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  2. Sorry to hear that mate, cars can be replaced, loved ones is different ball game.

  3. That seems to be what is going on here now, certain cars being targeted and it is planned, guy over the road has a m3 convertible and rr sport on his drive and are easy pickings compared to mine. I will be fitting these as extra security on my doors and windows, cheap and very effective, ironically I carry them on my van.

  7. I am sorry for your loss - but i guess its more the feeling of vunerability that is the issue.. I know it was for me....

I understand how you feel about not having nice things... but if you do that ... sell bikes.. you are letting them make your life worse.... so in the long term hurt you more..

About 14 years ago I had 4 guys turn up at the house in an evening - caught on a neighbours CCTV (did not know till 2 days later) casing my garage... well protected.

Next day they turn up around 1.00PM.. when wife is out the house... try kicking door in of the house to get keys.... dog barks and scares them away... (neighbour tells us this 2 days later)

Wife comes home.. parks infront of garage.

They had not gone away... they had decided to break into garage... middle PM... cut alarm off garage (sounder)

Ripped off the back door (Wood)

Cut through a weld mesh door inside rear door.

Cut throught chains on bikes - took quad from trailer, ready to go.
    Had PW 90
    Had XR 400
Then unbolted the garage door frame from the walls. (Door locked to frame on Outside)
Waited form my wife to leave to pick kids up.. dropped door and stole the XR and PW... she came back before they were able to get the other two.

Police took a long time to get there..

    Moral of the story...

    1. The dog stopped them getting in the house... shortly after we again got two rotties (we had lost the previous ones year before) - Get a dog... now after loosing the last two rotties we have a Saint Bernard... with the deepest bark biggest head and mouth you have seen and nastiest drool possible... and a Bulldog..

    2. If they want it they will take it...

    3. My neighbours sucked!!

Police recovered XR 3 months later (they said they knew who had stolen it) and then had it stolen again from their impound yard....

Dont let the bastards grind you down....

  9. Every time I load my track bike on the trailer at 4:45am in the pitch black with a head torch on making a proper racket I think how crap my neighbours are.

  11. @simmytt I hope you have calmed down a bit now. This sort of event is incredibly stressful and can literally shorten your life if you let it eat you up.

It would be very easy for the police to set up a sting to catch these rats but their hands are tied by the wet liberal suits that control them.

Keep your chin up the tide will turn (eventually).

  13. Sorry to hear your news Simon. There’s been a few round here recently, apparently Audi S3 and 4’s are the target.

Try not to let the bastards grind you down, not easy I know....

  14. Just been reading this and I'd be furious just like you, sorry it had to happen.....the c##ts

First thing I'm thinking about now is security, been looking at various cameras this morning but quite intrigued to know what these little things are?

They ok to fit to any DG window?

  15. So sorry to hear about this Simon. People who do this are just total scum bags, losers. Who with a shred of decency would think its ok to steel someone else belongings when they have worked hard to have such things.
I can't even put into word how I feel about these low life's.
My thought are with you and your family Simon, and I hope things get resolved soon for you.

  16. Having been a victim of bike theft in the past this really boils my piss. Having your home broken into for the keys must make the violation so much worse. Sorry to hear of your loss, stuff can be replaced but I get the sentiment of why bother having decent stuff...

Drastic, and I was doing it anyway, moving to a less crime riddled area was the answer for me. That plus adding as much security as practical as well as getting dogs.

  17. Simon lives in a nice area, lots of neighbours to spot something not right.

Really making me feel my garage extension is essential. And have the house alarm linked to the garage too I think.

I’d have a dog but we both work full time and it’s just not fair on them (especially is young) to be alone all day.

  18. Thats why you buy two or 3 dogs to keep each other company......

But my wife has always worked just part time...

  19. "East European gang doing the rounds according to the attending Police officer" I do not understand this if they know they are doing the rounds, then they should be able to catch them easier.

  20. They know this because they have them on cctv, they work in a gang of 4 all hoodied up, east European because they will and have wake you up to get the keys, even when disturbed they will just carry on with there search, they really do not give a dam, all this info from soco, so I guess the best thing to do is leave your keys visible so they just take them and fuck off, my van keys were on the table along with my wallet and phone ready for work in the morning , my wife's keys were in her handbag, phones were removed and left outside, this is normal practice so you cannot ring the police. Big thanks to everyone for all the Kind messages at least we are all on the same side with this one, cheers
