Termi fits well enough, but that can is fukin shocking, so i shortend mine by 150mm and it looks and sounds mutch better for it! if anyone cuts theirs, do it at the front end it's comes to pieces easier.
No just big balls!! and it was an air saw. 1 thing in my favour is im a panel beater with 39yrs experience, so it was easy took about an hour.
I've had the full system on since day one of my 2016 DVT so cannot compare standard to this one. One thing I would say, in Sport mode it has melted my number plate
I shortened mine too, must admit it took me about 3 hours, but I'm not an experienced Panel Beater!! At one point I couldn't get it back together and thought I'd really fuc*ed it up, but all of a sudden it all fell slid into place and I got the rivets in ASAP. The performance difference (let alone the sound) is worth every penny (to me anyway). Here she is with her modified end can..... HTH Deaks
So you spend 2-3 times what A N Other exhaust cost, then have to spend time fucking around and cutting it down to look er..... reasonable ? Why on earth would you not just buy the Arrow or QD etc etc to start ?? So again, are you nuts ??
I'd guess because it looks far better. And the thing with a termi-&-racing ecu is you can recoup money. Where as an after-market kit doesn't come with a downloadable tuned fob. So the money you spend on tuning a bike (£500-600quid) is totally lost when you come to sell the bike. Only the after market can & potential decat pipes have residual value.
Looks are subjective Gunz , but only IMO, the Termi ain't pretty. Not sure a good remap is 5-600 either, my bro just had his Diavel done at Rapidos for under 300, but like anything, its horses for courses, and personally, I reckon 1800 quid for the Termi is a tad much, especially if you have to chop it in half to make it look half decent ??
I think the price of anything to do with Ducati is a piss take, the termi was on my bike when i bought it a 64 plate pikes peak, it was fitted when the bike was brand new. with the pipe and other bits it was 21k!! like i said a piss take. i bought it at bang on 2yrs old from a Ducati dealer for 12k, thats some pill in 2yrs,i would have been gutted.
looks like you're a man after my own heart, i'v taken all the clutter off mine aswell, i wanted it to look like the pp race bikes and if i got a 2k system i want to see it, not having a peace tin covering it.
I didn't like the standard ones and wanted to junk all the hand guard clutter, so i bought a set of the ducati performance ones with built in led indicators (for sale BTW) but could not see much out of them and still don't like the clutter. So I went for the bar end mirrors, which although the image is small you can see loads (take some getting used to for sure). It must be coming from a Supermoto background, the urge to minimise all the excess stuff hanging off the bike Deaks
I would have loved one of the Akro pipes on the Pikes Peak race bikes, but couldn't get one for love or money!! I've been tempted to make up some of the side number boards, but the 'don't be a twat, you are not racing anymore' voice kicks in and brings me to my senses!! Deaks
That's what mine looks like, just not the pipe, to be honest i llike the termi system its the can that looks wank, i might take the yoshi carbon RS3 off my Harris and graft it on.
Gis a look at it then Mr! transated = Do you have any pics of your bike? One of the best mods for me was to change those gigantic standard handlebars for some renthal fat bars intended for a KTM SX85. Deaks
I'll get the mrs to take a pic and put it on for me computers aint my thing, i don't mind the bars, it was all that shit on em, mirrors like 2 fukin tellys and them shit hand guard come indicator things, mind you i got spoiled, i had a KTM 660 SMC a couple of years ago, EX race bike slipper clutch sorted motor and suspension, i thought the multi would be more fun but its not.
I used to race the Husaberg FC470, she was mint, wish I still had her. The last Supermoto I had was a super tricked out CRF 450, my dog needed a new leg joint and I was skint, so the CRF had to go to pay the shocking vets bill!! I miss both of these little beauties very much. Deaks :-(
Are there other systems out there, that termi is pig ugly. I tried lots of other bikes before I bought my Multistrada, one of my problems with other bikes was the lack of imagination on the exhaust. Has anyone had a custom system made?
