1200 DVT What Are The Benefits Of Full Termignoni System?

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Asgun, Feb 28, 2017.

  1. Arrow system nice.

  2. I had a look at it earlier, do these systems change the power and the noise?
I guess getting rid of the cat will help, are there guarantee issues?
I have to say the original pipes look better than any of the after market stuff.

  3. I agree about the oem end can but you can't really partner that to a decat pipe as all the noise suppression is done in the cat, and the oem end can is kinda just for show. So if you only decat it, the noise will be obscene. The after market full systems have baffling in the end can so while louder, keep it below deafening.

  4. wow, so can you get rid of the cat and use the original tail pipes by getting a custom pipe made?
The arrow systems are about a grand, do you know what the termigs are?

  5. Arrows is 800 pounds, termi is about 2k, and yes you can get a decat pipe with oem silencer, but I wouldn't.

  7. I do think it funny that Termi charge £2k for an exhaust, and some folk actually buy them !!

  8. Nicer noise. Come one, I appreciate some people need the extra 2 or 3 bhp but for the rest of us mortals the benefit is the noise a v-twin makes. I cant even use the 1299S power, yet i have the full akro. Its just pose value and noise, lets be honest with ourselves.

  9. Love mine never regretted paying the dosh for it. Put the baffle back in over winter. Guess what, i run the bike up last week & then cleaned it. The baffle fell out in my hand. So its back in panniers with allan key all wrapped up. Not sure that with the latest duke updates it is any better as i,ve not had mine in yet for recall & sevice.

  10. it'll melt your number plate so keep a spare

  11. My No plate has already warped a bit & black at the back. I totally agree with Wayne on the look of the can. I might look at doing something with the standard can this year.

  13. Are there any guarantee issues with changing the exhaust?

  14. Is it possible to get rid of the cat and still use the original cans, they are much better looking than the termigs.
I've read about getting the butterfly out but is there any way the baffles in the standard can be doctored?

  15. Stop messing about and buy a second hand full termi system for a grand ! They do come up regular.
Benefits= no warranty issues, full race map with correct fueling, they sound the best and Ducati’s are meant to have them :upyeah:

  16. One of my biggest gripes with all the other manufacturers is their lack of imagination on the exhausts, ktm, triumph and kawasaki spring to mind.
I'm not worried about the money, I'm sure it sounds intoxicating, but it looks shit in my humble opinion.
Thanks for your comments, I'm not sure I can ruin the look of the bike for the noise.

  17. There are no warranty issues with the Termi system. The dealer fitted mine & said it was all good.

  18. I bet he did !! Right at the point you stumped up 2 grand eh Stevo :D:rolleyes:

  19. It is, but will be incredibly loud, as the standard end can is virtually a straight through pipe, all the noise is dealt with in the cat box, so a decat pipe with oem end can will be too much imo.

  20. With all the bloody toys you have. Who,s calling the kettle black.
