With similar timing mods to the 848sf so it gets some bottom end back it could be great. Single sided arm wouldn't go amiss either, keep the exhausts under the engine and you might even be able to get the back wheel off
I like the look and idea of the KTM, but £14k is a little salty. May end up with a v4 tuono. Little worried about spares backup but I ran a Dorsoduro factory for 2 years with no problems at all
I have the bikes I want had them a while A748sps and a MV F4 My 748 went wrong or I thought it had. Thats another story.. but it took me a while to get sorted I really missed Ducati Power and riding experience so I chopped in my Brutale for a 1098. I do miss the Brutale Nothing on the market floats my boat enough to want to pay the fortune they ask. If I did end up with some pennies to waste I would buy an 800 Brutale. I wont chop a Ducati in though
Fallen out of love with Ducati's at the mo, even though I've got two parked in the garage. If my next bike was a Ducati I guess it would be a red 899.
Man's bike..? An ex-girlfriend had one of them but couldn't keep up, so she traded it in for a GPZ900...
After my 848, it'll probably be an 899/1199. If I go for the 899 I might go on a hunt for 1199 single sided swing arm and wheel. But... I might also go for a Multi and go touring. Choices, choices.
I agree with you to a point - but as I'm literally sat waiting for the aa to recover me due to wiring problem (shock!) on my 20 odd year old Ducati, I think sometimes progress is a bonus. And before anybody says 'it's 20 year old, expect it', my zzr is older and reliable as you like (touchs wood).
